Welcome to the forum and as nobody has replied, I'll kick the ball off.........

Axle and Front wheels are one thing (and probably the cost of the 188) Where are you going to take the prop shaft from?

    hi there,
here's my pennys worth, if your mf 188 is in orignal and good condition its worth a lot of money to a collector(good mf 188s are rare now) i.e. sell your 188 and buy say...... mf 290 4wd and part with very little money.

Why not look for a scrapped MF 1 series 4wd that you could take the front axel off. There were and still are a few Mf 165 4wd, 175 4wd, 178 4wd and 188 4wd's in the country.

However, be aware that they were pretty useless on soft ground. The upgraded front axel made them heavy. The 4wd wasn't alligned great and they ate soft ground up as they pulled out of it.

Double wheels for your 188 would be a much better investment IMO - and cheaper.

Hi I strongly disagree with the above
A 4wd on any of the MF100 series would be a great idea as there are a light tractor any way and you would need a bit of weight on the front to give it a bit of traction.
    Just my opinion.
