Just a wee heads up on this. For anyone who has the sports pack you can add the movies pack for €9 per month extra online. I assume the same would apply by ringing in also.

Similarly for anyone currently on the movies pack the sports pack can be added for €15 per month extra.

Better news for anyone on a discounted pack at the moment. The same discount will apply when you add the movies or the sports pack.

I currently have the sports pack with a 25% discount so went online earlier and added the movies for €9 but as Im on a discounted offer the movies pack kicked in at €6.75 extra. Cant beat that :)

Thanks Muffler, didnt realise that, as i done a search here on half price sky, i found out this extra bit of good news on this!

    As I've got a 12mth 1/2 price on HD+Multi-room since last Jan,
as i had a 6mth 1/2 price on sports+movies for €20 ended last April as i had an offer in the post from sky.

So when i rang up to cancel, i was told i couldn't get any more offers, straight after this one?
but during the conversation with this American working in the Cork office, he somehow lost/deleted movies on my planner, he said my account was clear as then he said i could get the same offer again (1/2 price movies+sports, i cancelled after the season finished)

So since I'm already on the 1/2 price, i don't have to wait for the offer in the post?
I've checked sky on the prices:
€9 movies pack, the sports pack can be added for €15 per month extra.
So you may get both for about €12 , would that be correct?

Wouldn't it be great if you could get them for that price :)

Leaving offers and basic pack aside the full price of the sports is €34 and full price of the movies is €28. If you take both together they knock €19 off the combined price which leaves the price at €43. If you already have either sports or movies and want to add the other they knock €19 off the cost of the pack you are going to add.

A lot of people may look at the prices on the website and see that its €28 for the moves but may not have noticed that if they are already subscribed to the sports pack they can add the moves for the full price of €28 but less the €19 discount which leaves the movies costing just €9. Similarly for anyone who has the movies the sports can be added for an extra €15 (€34 less €19)

The added bonus in all of this is for anyone who is already on a discounted pack. Depending on the T & C's of the half price offer you availed of you could possibly add the sports and movies for half price also but that would be half of the full combined prices.

As I said the full price for both is €43 so you could get them for €21.50. This is obviously on top of the price of your basic pack. Give it a go online and and add them to your account. The total cost including discounts will then show up before you agree to purchase.

Yes Muffler, if you are on a discounted sub, the system calculates the same discount off the Movies & Sports combined. I'm on half price for 12 months, so it gave me both for €21.50. If you go for Sports only its €21.00, & Movies only is €18.00. Well worth having a try if you are currently on a reduced sub.

It was giving it to me for €20.50 combined, so i thought i'll try it online as Sports was €11.50 extra & € 5.50 extra for Movies, don't ask me why that doesn't add up as sky assistant tried but failed badly to explain!

But I had a problem trying to add the package, so i thought I'd ring sky & wished i hadn't now. As the cheek of some of them,
As first of all i was told a few yarns & then put onto tech support, waited for 10m & was told the same thing, try later on in the evening?
I gave up on that fellah as they do like to blather on!

I rang later on & got a fella from Cork, who was giving me the package for €26, but was delighted to tell me that he was taking off €17 & wont get it any cheaper anywhere else, i told him the offer online & he told me to go there then. I told him there was something wrong with the site, he more or less said take it or leave it.

I wasn't going to pay over the odds for it as he sounded very arrogant, I'll try to do it on-line again tomorrow, does it take long for it to go through?

I was also told because my billing date is different to the promo date & will be different but will be normal in the second month, but told me the price & it turns out that it will be €7 more? & blathered on more about the price, but at that stage i had enough as i had a headache from listening!

I'm just posting this now as i rang them before the 2 matches today, as it gave me an awful headache.

I'm sorry, Patty. I did'nt go to checkout as I think there is a problem with my tarriff when I check it online at My Sky. I know I should be paying €26.00 for the package + multiroom that I have, but the site tells me that my bill is €14.00:confused:. I have no interest in getting movies and at present I have sports from another source. My sub is up at end of Nov,but by then this offer may be gone:(. Will give it another try later in the week to see how the land lies.
