Spec / price is roughly similar between the 2. Estimated resale of the XF is a bit higher than the BMW so should have lower depreciation.

BMW is the best to drive in that class. XF was a bit of a let down when pushed hard, but since very few people looking at these options are going to be totally balls out driving all the time, the Jag should be fine for everyday use.

Personally, I think the interior of the XF is already looking a bit dated - the Nav system just looks a bit "tacky" to me. 5 Series has a better look to the interior IMHO.

Overall, I'd probably take the XF for the super sexy looks and exclusivity, but the 2.2 190ps model would be the bare minimum engine wise (emission Band B for 2013, or B2 more likely).

Looks alone is would defnitely be the XF and have only seen a few of them on the road. Best of luck.

XF hands down. Cannot wait until the prices drop enough so I can get my hands on one.

AFAIK the XF is the only nonBMW reviewed in BMW car magazine. last year(or 2010 not sure) good review too have it somewhere.
    Says a lot for it

Facelifted XF in 3.0d form, the rarity and exclusiveness of them would be the clincher for me.
