Sky plus Anytime Storage space lost

On Demand launched today in Ireland, great.

Everything set up and working ok, but spotted something to do with disk storage on the box, perhaps someone knows what's happening...

My sky box has a 500gb disk, 300 available for my recordings, and the balance for sky specific services. Until today this 200gb was the home to any content that sky pushed out on their Anytime service.

Now, Anytime has been replaced by On Demand on my sky box.
I picked a movie from the On Demand menu, and it downloaded no problem.

But, the movie appears in my regular planner, and reduced the storage in there by 2%. I deleted the movie and got the 2% back. I had assumed that the On Demand content would go into the reserved 200 gb, but it looks like this is not the case.

Does anyone know if this is the case?

Yep the downloads are added to your planner.

So what is the reserved space on your hard drive used for now?

So what is the reserved space on your hard drive used for now?

It's still used for the standard 20-30 hours of Anytime/Showcase content they push to your box overnight.

Which answers the other question I had - so the already downloaded stuff (i.e. ordinary Anytime, or On Demand pre yesterdays update), is now called "Showcase". Cheers

I'm confused on this one ... so hoping someone can help. I downloaded a couple of box sets overnight last night and they didn't use up any of my planner storage. I had cleared out a ton of space to allow for the box sets and none of it was used.

Kind of related Q, a colleague has asked me if he 'opts-out' of the Sky On-Demand will he reclaim the hard drive space allocated for it ?
    /think it's 140GB or something!
