All of the Archos range are dropping in price depending on where you look.
The 4GB (A28) 4 inch version was €29 the other day, but before i could get near a PC to buy, they were sold out. (Worth keeping an eye out if you are thinking of buying)

    Archos 101 8GB - €143 Delivered

This is a very old model to be honest,

I have the 7inch equivilant and it shows its age, as it is fairly slow on a number of task. The seven inch tablet for 44 euro or so mentioned on here is alot quicker

As a media players kindle, music, movies its all good though

at €143 this is very much over priced and I wouldn't go near it with a barge poll

Android 2.2 was never designed for tablets. The only android worth getting for a tablet is 4.

I have this and it can sometimes be unusable. I need to wipe it every now and again to make it usable and even still....

    Don't bother.

And no it can't be updated easily. You can get some linux distros on it though if you have the time.

    I'd have to agree.

It got a lot of attention on a Podcast i was listening to, and it is a huge reduction from it's original price. IMHO they should've reduced it a long time ago.

Anyway, because it was getting so much attention, and has dropped a lot in price, i thought it'd be worth a post.

Other Pages worth viewing with information about Updating/Custom Roms etc.

Not a lot of people bothered with it tbh..

I used to own one - this is not a good price

    Very old

Spend the extra bit and get a Nexus if you want a solid tablet
