Hi. We have a Sky+ box in the sittingroom and a standard skybox in the bedroom. If I got a Sky+ box and hooked it up instead of the standard box would it work with the standard multi room setup?

Yes it will work but you wont be able to fully use the Sky+ features unless you have 2 cables going to the box. You can record on one cable but you wont be able to watch another channel at the same time though.

The only thing you have to do is ring Sky to have the card paired with the new box.

Thanks for the reply. It'd be to record when i'm away that i'd mainly want it for so sounds good to me.

When you're using the single cable I think you have to change the settings a little. On the remote control press Services, 001 and then select. This brings up a hidden menu and in there (somewhere) you will see an option for "single feed mode". Just make sure thats enabled.

Im not 100% sure if this HAS TO BE done but when you swap the boxes, get the card paired and attempt a few sample recordings if you hit any problems then you will know how to sort it. :)
