No payment today in post office?p

    I'm getting supplementary welfare allowance the past 4/5 months while I wait for my disability allowance claim to get resolved. Every week I get a doctors cert and drop it up to my social welfare officer who then pays me through the post office.
    I got a letter a month ago saying that I need to get medically assessed by the department and that if I don't turn up my payments could be stopped. The assessment is tomorrow and obviously I will be attending it.

    However, when I went to collect my payment in the post office today I was informed that there was nothing there for me! She said to go see my officer but he's only available every Thursday morning so I can't get to him until next week.

    Has this happened to anyone else and what could be the reason for stopping my payments? Surely it should have received a letter stating it was being stopped?

    What can I do to find out the reasons?

    Rang the department and I was told that my certs were a week behind and not up to date which means the officer has not put through the cert in time. I've not missed a certain so hopefully next week it will come through and I should get two weeks to cover this weeks non payment?
