I understand Revolution to be where it's at in Waterford.

    Merci Mr. Nut.

Might be very useful for the next 6/7 months!

Indeed, and Metalman pale ale. Lovely pub for the winter months too.

Oskars on the Dunmore Road has many a craft beer.

The Munster Bar in Baileys Street does Smithwicks Pale Ale and Metalman Pale Ale.

Tom is the barman in Philly Grimes in Johnstown, close to the cinema..has a great selection of beers, including all the Waterford craft beers, and a selection of non traditional beers, generally dies a 3 bottles for €10 selection...lovely old style proper pub, no TV or music..good for a chat

Henry Downes pub on thomas street, nearly sure it has craft beers. its distills its own whiskey, no.9 is the name of it i think... fair nice. Its a cosy, family run, real irish bar. definitely worth a visit.

Downes only really have a handful of German/Czech beers as far as I know as well as the Dungarvan beers. Revolution probably has the best selection although it's a pub at odds with it's beer selection as it's more of a Disco kind of bar, if that makes any sense. It's not a place I would consider going for a quiet beer put it that way. Oskar's is now owned by the same guy so I'm guessing they have the same selection, Oskars would be a more relaxed pub than Revolution.

Geoffs have a pretty good selection too, lots of German and other European beers and Metalman. The Front Lounge have a good selection too, probably a bit less than Geoffs though, they also have Metalman. I was in Phil Grimes a few weeks ago and I was really impressed by their selection; they even had Sierra Nevada which I've never seen anywhere outside Dublin, and they have the Dungarvan beers.

Probably a bit late now for the OP :p but it may be of some use to someone else!

I'd be willing to bet a tenner they don't distil the whiksey themselves and it is infact made by one of the other distilleries on the island.

I'd go further again and suggest that the whisky may not even be distilled on this island!

Get the ferry over to Waterford Castle, they have Metalman on tap, and the Dungarvan beers in bottles

No. 9 is a blend blend of whiskies. Don't know which ones. I was a barman in Downes many moons ago.

After seeing this, I decided to go to Philly Grimes. Indeed they do have the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Metalman Pale Ale, Dungarven Helvick Gold Blond Ale, Leffe, Peronni, Aspalls Cider and more! They even offer a beer sample tray for €4. Philly Grimes comes highly recommended as a nice place for a nice beer in Waterford.

Does anyone else know where to get Aspalls Cider? I have seen it in World Wide Wines on the Dunmore Road and even in Tescos in Ardkeen before.

Been a loooong time since I was in it. Used to live around the corner on South Parade once upon a time.
