Integrate camera/microphone on doorbell wiring

    Hello All,

Looking into see if there is anyway I can use the existing doorbell wiring and voltage etc to put a mini camera/mic unit in place of the doorbell. Ideally would take it back to the chime unit and have it wirelessly to a screen unit in kitchen or elsewhere.

Can see some units on eBay for this but not sure of voltage and how I could integrate without having to run new wiring and power.

Don't know voltage on doorbell but looking in the chime unit there is no transformer so guessing there is one somewhere and therefore power I can utilize?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

    Paddy

    never heard of this.
best bet is to search the forum for comments on a yale unit which may suit
