    Hi,

Flying to Munich today - just for the night.

    Could someone recommend decent bars/clubs?

    Thanks

have a wander along Sonnenstrasse between Karlsplatz and Sendlinger Tor.
Over the past couple of years its developed into a right party zone with small clubs popping off in back alleys and whatnot. Not sure how hopping it is on a weeknight as Friday and Saturday night are the major nights everywhere.
Kultfabrik is an area by ostbahnhof that has 30 or 40 pubs and clubs in an old industrial area that should be busy tonight.

if your into more rock and that then Backage is yer only man .

for big clubs Neuraum is pretty good. Its only opened a couple of years so is reasonably swish inside. Music is really good, dancy and no pop or chart crap but not über techno either.

if you want really underground cutting edge dance stuff there are also places, but the Irish opinion of a club is somewhere to oogle/ chat up women so id thats what you want then neuraum could be good.

other places with a bit of action are the Irish pubs kilians and Kennedys or any mexican bar .
And probably best to start off a night is a visit to the Hofbrauhaus beerhall which is always a lively place.
