I sold an item and was payed via PayPal (200€) the buyer received the item but claims it was damaged, it was in perfect condition when I posted and I packaged it adequately, there are no funds in my PayPal account, and I no longer have a card registered with them, when I log in my account says minus 200euro, the item was sent by registered mail and the buyer signed for delivery, where do I stand? I'm getting awful stressed over this.

A claim has been initiated by the buyer and the funds are on hold .

You need to respond and investigate what damage there is and ask for photos .

If you accept returns , include this info in your message to buyer .,

I don't accept returns, it was a one off, the damage must of happened in transit, am I responsible for that?,

Did you state in your ad that you didn't accept returns?
On the side note, was your package insured?

Well if you ordered something, and it arrived damaged, would you be happy? If it's insured, then that should cover it. If you didn't, then you may have to take it back. Can they prove it was damaged on receipt?

It was sent registered mail, insurance cover upto €100 max, how can they prove it was damaged on receipt? I don't understand.
He signed for delivery, surely if it was damaged he would not of signed for it, he sent me a message saying he knows it is not my fault and that it was the postal service on his end ( Canada ). there is no money in my payl account and no card registered, if he were to get his money back how would PayPal get it from me, I think I am (attempting to be) being ripped off.

Did you sell it on ebay ? If so, you will have photos of it before you posted it to Canada. ?
Ask for photos of the damage and go to Paypal to adjudicate.
Having been in a similar situation once i always take plenty of photos before sending.

Yes; you are responsible for the delivery to their door and that's also the view Paypal will take. How ever for a refund they will need to return the item appropiately packed (and they pay for the shipping cost instead of you as far as Paypal is concerned).
