That looks nice. May keep it in mind for an alternative for the NCD 100

My new stop of choice in that neck of the woods is the Donkey Shed, near Ashbourne.

There's also Relish and BT Bistro in Bettystown.

The Visitor Centre at Oldbridge (the Battle of the Boyne site) is also excellent or Sage & Stone just outside Duleek.

There's some nice coffee shops in Howth in the harbour for a quick pick me up before you head up windgate.

I'm beginning to realise that most people seem to cycle to either (a) take drugs or (b) eat cake

Skerries Mills, Corks in Ashbourne, There's a good coffee shop/craft centre just outside Duleek too. The garden centre outside Clonee. Seamus Ennis Centre in Naul. And...the garage in Garristown does good take-out.

Maguires on top of the Hill of Tara if you make it that far. Can be crowded in summer but if the day is nice get a take out coffee and sit outside and enjoy the view.

Java detour on the old Belfast road, Julianstown. Good coffee and toasted sandwiches.

Sweet fvck. Does anyone here actually ride their bikes.just because they enjoy cycling? Getting images of boards clad fatties jamming cakes in their pie holes all day long while "out cycling"

Optional & felloffmebike beat me to it. Mind 70-100k from north Dublin could include Maynooth direction.

Go on, try it... Just the odd time. You'll enjoy it. You can skip the cake if you like. Nice scones in Maguires... And muffins... Might explain why the weight isn't going down though...

I suspect the dieting is making you cranky. Have a doughnut. Gowan.

I'm midway through a 202 page report on this incident. Heavy going. Can't condone it at all.

New one to add to the list -

Nan's 'CAKERY' :pac::pac: in Laytown - decent coffee, and suitably calorie laden cake and buns.

I've been in - just not on the bike:o

Anyway, Beasty, I thought you'd approve, before that place opened there was a shop there run, by the looks of the decor, by a die hard Liverpool supporter - it was called the Kop Shop......

Not quite North but a friend of mine runs BOSS HOGG coffee bar in Maynooth. Its a lovely shop with great coffee and nice cakes. He's a keen cyclist too so more than capable of a good carbon -V- steel -V- titanium argument.
