landini blizzard 84 4wd

    hi i have a blizzard 85 4wd and the shaft for the 4wd going into the front axle has rounded off due to wear, just wondering if anyone has changed one and is it a lot of work, i know the axle has to come off, where can i find a breakers in south east that breaks landini or massey, the axle is a massey axle anyone know what massey would have same axle, i have been told its the 398 is that right, thanks and all replys would be greatfull

    I know a chap who use to be a mechanic for a big Landini dealer down that way, he's independent now and I find him cheap enough (certainly way less than what the dealer use to charge/hr!) I can PM on his number if ya want.

    He won't have any spares though Tim :)

    I'd say you are down to Tanners or someone like that to be honest.

    Kehoe's of Camolin also have a Landini there for spares so may be able to get it off them.

    Also beware that MF fitted a different gearbox so may not be exactly the same shaft. Which part of the shaft has worn away - the splines? It is unclear from valtras post.
