hi all our club is in a bit of a dilema nearly on the way out to be honest over stupid things
ya no the usual to many to list

what type of cover does your club have
we were thinking of maybe changing from nargc to CAI
for the reasons of easier pay, cheaper
we have a lot of travelling to do to the meetings as there held at the other end of the county
and we only have a few members with only a few willing to travel to them but are sick of it at this stage (not home till all hours with work the next morning)

anyway opinion for and against are more than welcome
    and maybe new ideas

i lost 100 euro 2 years ago going around collecting club money which i ended up having to fork out myself wasnt nice

just because tou are in tipp doesnt mean you have to affiliate to tipp you can affiliate to a different county and still stay in the nargc...no problem there

We're with IFA, only changed recently and find them excellent. Did a deal and we have 6.5 m cover each.
Just a point to bear in mine when choosing I donot thing that the NARGC is insurance as it is a compensation fund .

Its a compensation fund alright but its underwritten by loyds, they wouldn't be able to operate if it wasn't underwritten.

contact the nargc directly tell them your predicament and if they dont facilitate you , that you will find someone else who will simpe as ...... the nargc will help you , you just have to ask , most club constitutions are standard there is a copy of a sample one on the nargc website and ask why your constitution has to be amended and if it needs to be amended call a club egm and sort it out among yourselves........ring chris gavigan or contact him by email , he is there to help you

Do you get membership cards like the NARGC ones with the other insurance providers?

How does it work logistically with sending in the memberships, all in one go type of thing or can it be done in drips and drabs as seems to happen at my club anyway.

Thanks homerhop, it's always good to have options when it comes to insurance or services.

we joined the IFA as as club. It very much better. Shooting on driven shoots you need 6 million and NARGC only max at 2.6 mil. Also all club must be Nargc member which was added expense for some. The IFA have a credit card type membership card also.

There is no doubt the IFA are offering a very competitive package, price wise there a match, you do not have to waste money affiliating to a county body, free fleece, they are willing to support rearing projects with feed, 6.5 mil cover and diccounts with FBD when you mention your a member just to mention a few.
It's great to have a bit of competition in the market finally.

How does the paper work, work? Do you have to send off a single cheque once at the beginning of the season for all members or can you send off a few at a time as members pay up their dues?

If it the Club Members say 30 members there fee is € 30 + € 15 affilated fee and € 25 reg fee now ifyou have any others joining then the fee is just € 30 + € 15 hope this explains;)
