Digital Piano Help

    Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a keyboard/digital piano for home use but I'm having trouble deciding which model/type is suitable for my needs. I've been told www.thomann.de is a great online site for getting one.

I'm looking for a standard setup ie without hundreds of settings for changing the style of the sound. It's really important that I buy a keyboard/digital piano that has hammer keys and pedals. I've had a go of a few and hate the fact that no matter how lightly or hard you press the keys, the sound stays the same.

Could someone guide me in choosing an appropriate model? My budget is between €300-€500. I'm not sure but I think the best options for my use would be under the digital piano or compact digital piano section.

    Thanks in advance.

    Is this a good choice?:

It's not compact but if I bought a compact keyboard I'd have to add pedals which would increase the cost whereas this model comes with them.

Actually, scrap the DP30. I YouTube'd it and it sounds awful.

heh, I have the DP30 :D And my brother got one too.

To be honest before I played anything else I was very happy with it, and it was grand for me to learn on. I'm not playing long (about 3-4 years properly), but now whenever I go into Waltons or XMusic and play their pianos I always end up thinking "Ah, so this is what a piano should sound like!" :D

I can't help you with choosing a specific model, but the DP30 is a decent cheapo choice for beginners if that's what you are.
