Changing address

Hi All. I went into the local welfare office on Monday to change my address. Was told to come in again on Tuesday with sufficient proof of address (Signed utility bill) which I did. Today, I went into my old PO to collect my benefit...but they said there was no payment for me. So I went to my new PO and they said the same thing.
I then went into the social welfare office and they told me that my payment has been suspended until the end of October and to go into them tomorrow to talk to someone.

Has anyone come across this before? I presume it has something to do with me changing address?
