Want to set up a band that plays soul/ blues covers. I'm 32 and play lead guitar/ slide guitar based in Dublin city. Would like to get drums/bass/keyboard/singer/ some horn players if possible!/ second guitarist. I want a relaxed enough attitude. Should be able to get together once a week/ fortnight with a view to gigging within maybe a month or two of practice. Should be ok if we can all play ;) Like most I love playing but did all the intense gigging and recording when I was younger. Also probably won't be making money immediately the way things are but hopefully in the future we might make a bit.Just want to enjoy the music now! Bands I'm thinking of:
    Sam and Dave
    Otis Redding
    Wilson Pickett
    Aretha Franklin
    Allman bros
    Bb king
    Albert king
    Howling wolf
    Bo diddley
    Early fleet wood mac
    Cream
    Buddy guy
    Temptations
    Marvin gaye
    Muddy waters
    John led hooker
Big Mike Bloomfield/ al kooper fan!
Loads more influences but would be hear all day. You get the picture.
Could also be a good idea to rework classic rock in a blues soul style. Especially the ones based in blues soul eg voodoo chile

I'm also wondering if you're interested in female singers and still looking? I did jazz voice in university and love it. 28, would be reliable and dedicated. Could email you a sample recording. Cheers.

    Hi there,
If you're still looking for a bass player give me a shout. Mid 40's with buckets of experience, top gear and transport.
