    Hi,
I was hoping someone may help.

I am looking into the design of my house, which i hope to build soon.

I would like to have my living room facing north and east, for various reasons.

However, will this make it a very cold room- or does it really matter that much?

I know people say to have the living room and bed rooms facing south and west,
But will it make a huge difference if my living room is north and east facing?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jo

high spec glazing, thermal bridge free detailing and perhaps clever borrowing of morning /evening light will help here. good design will be get you through this. south is best, but this cant always be achieved..
