could someone tell me what the purpose of the aerial lead from the STB to the Analogue PVR is ?

It carries the analogue signal to the analogue tuner in the PVR. It will be defunct after ASO on Oct 24th.

It would appear to be a setup designed to work before analogue switchoff occurs. Its a loop through scenario. Allows the analogue tuner in the PVR to continue to function up to ASO.

As the TV has only a single connection (SCART?) other than the RF socket, playback of material recorded on the analogue PVR would loop through the Saorview STB when its in standby.

Thanks, was wondering what it was doing in a Saorview related document.
