Has anybody any experience of a company called "Clearpower" who seem to be getting farmers to store & spread on their land waste from County Council treatment plants. The farmers are applying for planning permission using the following wording "Change of use of the existing agricultural sheds to agricultural store to include the storage of agricultural machinery, organic and inorganic fertilisers such as granular artifical fertiliser, biosolids, farmyard manures and soil conditioners."

In a few areas the locals spotted what was going on & pressurized the farmer to withdraw the application.
I wonder what are the health & environment issues around spreading human waste

My first question is "Has the waste been treated and suitable for spreading" or is this raw sewage?. I think youll find it would be treated biosolids of some description.

What would you do with the treated biosolids, landfill them, that would be a waste. i much prefer a farmer to spred slurry than use artificial fertiliser and wouldnt have a problem with treated biosolids.

The company blurb makes for interesting reading.

What do you think is going on and why would you pressurise a farmer without informing yourself fully as to what is actually going on?
