    Simple - he is a highly trained boxer with lightening fast reflexes and a seriously powerful punch (maybe not in boxing terms but against joe soap on the street there is only going to be one winner).

    If the mugger gets assaulted by somebody with a knife/sword/machine gun he'll be able to disarm them...

    If the person attacking the mugger knows kajukenbo though, there could be trouble! :D
