Whirlpool Fridge frosting up

We have a whirlpool fridge/freezer. Its about 10 years old. The unit seems to be running the whole time. Fridge section is frosting up as well, even when turned down to 0.5. I have a feeling the thermostat is banjoed. If so, any ideas whether its cost effective to replace thermostat or is another problem here.
