Is there currently only regular 1 phase installed in your garage?
How much does the lift need?

There are converters you can buy but I wouldn't know the cost sorry.

Years ago I bought a secondhand 3-phase 4-post lift cheap. It has a hydraulic+steel cables type mechanism. Very easy to change over to single phase ... since the motor just operated an hydraulic pump, it was easy to replace the 3-phase motor directly by a new single phase motor.

At the time it was cheaper and more reliable than a 3-phase converter, but technology has probably moved on. Mine is still working approx 20 years later.

I converted a 3ph lift to 1ph a few years back with a telemecanique inverter, can't find it now but this is similar, obviously you'll need an electrician to connect it and check its sized correctly, this one is good for a 1hp motor!
