I don't want to say except McGregor because those scenes were amazing. But what is your favorite Irish MMA moment and why.

Myles price hitting that flying RNC for me, it was the day I started BJJ and just thought that was the coolest thing in the world.

    You ?

Owen Roddy escaping the RNC and coming back to win Vs Shannon Gugerty for me! But that would a lot be due to my emotional attachment to the fight. Conor McGregor Vs Dave Hill also, amazing stuff!

The atmosphere at the McGregor v Hill fight was unreal. Great moment when he won.

On the same night I thought the Pendred v Bielkhieden fight was brilliant too. Pendred fought his heart out and it was a real back and forth battle. My heart was in my mouth when Pendred got dropped, but watching him suck it up and battle on to get the win was a great moment.

Owen Roddy vs Tim Murphy. Enough said.

i know the fight was pretty lopsided , but the cheer that tom egan got on his way out at ufc 93 was unbelievable .
another thats not really a moment but more of a landmark night was cage contender 5 in tallagh , the cream of irish mma on the card topped off with a bantamweight title fight between two of europes finest , really raised the bar at the time

Any videos of this. Being so far away it's hard to get any home mma footage. Would like to see the above

I can't link it because of the site but if you go onto www.p4tv.com and go into their MMA section you will find Cage Contender 5 and the Price and Begley fight is the main event on that card :)

Definitly has to be when UFC came to Ireland and Conor Mcgregor makes easy work on his debut taking KO of the night with him.... Ahhh wait that's the future ;)
But really when Conor won CW title and Cathals fight! That was a ****ing war

Owen Roddy's comeback against Gugerty is up there for me!! But then I might be just a tad biased ;)

Is Norman the first guy from Ireland to win a UFC match?

Duncans slam on McNally then the fedor style comeback lol

I don't think TUF officially counts as a UFC bout, its an exhibition bout, it doesnt go on record

Yeah it doesn't go on your pro record but it's still a big thing that should be celebrated

Absolutely, he completely dominated the Australian too, nice left body and head kicks in the 2nd round, looked comfortable under pressure

Totally agree, I just watched it last night and it was fantastic to see Norman do so well.

For me it was Ring of Truth 1. The first MMA show in Dublin, a "who's who" of Irish MMA in attendance (and participating), a phenomenal crowd given the time, and not one t-shirt wearing idiot who'll boo someone to be found.

I'm told the after party was pretty good too.
