EuroClear....Nominate a Sponsor?

    My broker is FXCM (transferred from ShareWatch) and I am an infrequent investor.

    I recently got a letter from Euroclear to advise that as a result of DSD entering liquidation I need to nominate a sponsor.
    As directed I checked apcims.co.uk. Excluding Davies I’m not familiar with any of the other parties suggested on the site.

    I'm sure some of you would have received a similar letter recently.
    Any idea of what I need to do?
    I don’t want to pay fees to the likes of Davies to act as my sponsor.

    What would be the consequences of failing to nominate a sponsor.
    I generally invest two or three times a year.
