Lot of climbing, twisting and turning, with a long run up.. looking forward..

Is it the same course as last year or will there be changes?

    thanks

    See you there Mr Fowl!

Sean, 2 changes to the course. Singletrack section is out due to deep mud & flooding at the exit point.

One really cool new feature, which even Seymour will have to run..

Can't post the exact details of the new route for fear of it being pre ridden to death.

Hoping for a wet day too. Make the hill more interesting. More sideways so to speak.

Current weather conditions could make this a very enjoyable event...

    ... for spectators anyway

Great race today, muddy as hell... How come the 2nd energy sapping gravel pit was taken out for the A race?

The B racers are the expendable front line.

Went face first into the muck on the 4 warm up attempts down the hill. I started last in the A race and don't think I actually passed anyone, just got them as they pulled out with mechanicals. Double lapped by a few lads. Loved every minute of it - apart from the hill descent section!

i saw you going down a few times on the downhill bit honkjelly - looked like you were enjoying it :) (i was the one who straightened your lever)

Thanks for the pre race advice and mechanical assistance from yourself and raam. That front wheel just had a mind of its own!

Hope you all enjoyed the race today?

Thanks to all the volunteers today from swords, UCD, and team worc.

Over 20 people working in the rain since 9.30am this morning to get this event running.

The course was very heavy, and was a real test of fitness and handling.

The singletrack section was put back in at the last minute, due to popular demand, but it worked well in the end.

I think every single rider crashed apart from Robin so no one can feel inadequate.

RAAM - Great work in the pits today. Don't know how you managed to swap. wash, repair, lube and swap bikes so many times, and still get such great shots?

I had a helper lady take the shots for the A race.
