I noticed this race on runireland.com and have signed up on account of the excellent looking route. Here's a link to the 2010 discussion about it -

Did anyone do it last year? I need to incorporate some hills into my training to cope with this one I reckon.

Hi, I did it last year. Fantastic trail with amazing views. Bloody tough though.
I'm going to sing up again to try and bet my time last year.

Hi Grasshopper, is it very hilly?

Assuming it's the same course as the inaugural run then yes, very. You'd be hard pressed to organise an event around that area that isn't.

Going to sign up for this, looks like a perfect post marathon run.

Can anyone recommend a good route around Dublin to help prepare for the hilly parts of this run?

Any sections of the Wicklow Way or Dublin Mountains Way should be easy to find and follow. Anywhere in the hills would good.

    Hi

Yeah it's pretty hilly but worth it for the scenery especially at this time of the year. Looking forward to it.

Glendalough looked magnificent this morning. I so wish I could have run this. Ben Mooney looked strong up front and was well clear in the closing kilometers. A sold out event too. Fair play to Excuseless for supporting Fighting Blindness.
