Steam cleaner any good??

Hi, We recently bought a house which hasn't been lived in for a while and looks like it was never cleaned very well when it was last lived in. :(

The kitchen cupboards, splashback tiles and surrounds have a lot of grease stains on them, as does the oven, hob and hood, and no amount of scrubbing seems to remove this grease.

The bathrooms are questionable also! Tiles, shower trays, sinks & pedestals are virtually unusable

I am tempted to strip everything out and get a new kitchen and bathroom suites but alas the budget won't quite stretch at the moment.

I was thinking of buying a steam cleaner thinking that might do the job but have never used one before. Can anyone recommend a good one, and maybe one that doubles up as a mop for tiles, laminate & carpet??

Any advise is extremely welcome, we'll be moving into the house in about 2 weeks so hoping to get the kitchen & bathrooms sparkling before our 3 kids cause more havoc. :D Thanks.
