Wedding Help!!!!!

Hi Guys,

My boyfriend and I are hoping to get married November 2014.
Im looking at 2 venues. Park Hotel Virginia Cavan and Station House KIlmessen. I would have loved Cabra Castle but its way too expensive. We want a civil ceremony too. Ive emailed both places. just looking for advise on the venues??? Food, rooms, price wise (were thinking 80-100 ppl max) especially if you've been to a wedding there or even had your wedding there. How much is an average wedding???

i have been to a wedding in the Station House.

the food was good.

they moved us all from the food place into the house to set up for the band, and it was horrible, we were all squeeshed in a tiny room, there wasnt enough room to lift your drink.

other than that it was grand.

it is in the arse end of nowhere though, we couldnt stay the night of the weddding as we had another wedding the next day in Wexford and it was a horrible drive home, down all narrow, unlit, country roads (we missed our turn and got completely lost in dark).

My mother got married 4 years ago in he Station House,it was more expensive back then with out all the special wedding offer that they have now.
The service and fod were excellent and the bridal suite is lovely:)
