I need to get a new battery for my car, its not turning over in the cold so I reckon last winter killed it.

My manual specs a 12V - 40AH battery. i was going to buy off Micks Garage as am very rural and it is easier to have it delivered. They product finder is specing a Bosch battery but has a capacity of 60AH as opposed to the recommended 40AH. Does anyone know if this will cause a problem?

    It is a 98 Mazda 232f 1.5

The 60aH battery will have more reserve power, and will not cause any problems. Just be sure the one you order fits your car.

Provided the dimension are the same go for the Bosch 60 as you might as well get one that will start it first turn rather then getting a 40ah which barely has enough power to start it each time. The bigger ah wise the battery the easier it will start the car as it turns over the starter motor quicker.

go to a real motor factors and save yourself 30 euro, and if you do have a problem with it down the road, you wont have to post it back. if the dimensions are the same, or if the new battery fits, and the poles are the right size, and on the correct sides, dont worry if the AP is bigger!

As Aman23 says plus you can hand in the old battery for proper disposal.

Thanks for all the responses, I had too order it online as am working long hours in a very rural location at the minute and dont have time to get to a motor factors and really need to have my car back in working form. Dimesnions of the battery all check out so should be fine.

    Thanks.
