Looking to replace a 15 year old deitrich pyro double oven. Not going to spend €1600 this time. Was thinking of a Neff, Bosch or Zanussi for circa €1000. Anyone have good /bad experience with these brands of cookers ?

Anyone doing deals on ovens in Dublin at the moment

    Thanks for any feedback

    Dak

    What about Miele?

We will be replacing our double oven in next 6 months and were also thinking of Miele only they only supply single ovens. Both Neff and Miele have demo sessions as far as I know.

Miele do the best washing machines and tumble dryers IMHO . Have had a WM for 16 years and its never seen a technician . Dishwasher was a different story and it went bellyup after 10years .

As Miele don't seem to do double ovens it wasn't a runner ! Bosch, Siemens and Neff are all part of the same BH group but Neff is supposed to be the best quality .

That said I saw a Bosch and Neff side by side in currys this week and the internal bits looked identical ! Its probably only the finishing and amount of multifunctionality / Catalytic liners etc that differs for the most part as far as I can see from my week of looking at ovens

Found the Euronics Brochure. Model looks like the U15M42SOB . Price is Good if it is as Currys have same cooker for €1128. This makes sense as the Model I am looking at replaces this model so it would be an end of model reduction.

Well Im not really bothered what anyone thinks.

Some will like it others wont,as everyone has different tastes and likes.(thats how the world works).

Im very happy with it.Not a single problem or fault in 15 months now.

Utility cupboard, double oven,fridge/freezer and then the rest of the kitchen.

PS-I asked for it/wanted it like that,as I wanted the utility cupboard closest to the recessed double sliding doors.

    Placement Of Integrated Refrigeration

Whatever you do, don't ever place a fridge, freezer or fridge freezer next to another appliance if you can possibly avoid it, with the exception of course of under counter fridges and freezers designed to be installed this way. Again, consult the instruction manual or contact the manufacturer for specific recommendations.
Putting an integrated or built in fridge or freezer next to an oven is, to be blunt, just plain stupid.
We see it, people and even kitchen designers do it. And, for good measure we'll say it again, this is just completely stupid.
Think about it, it's common sense, you're putting an appliance designed to get very hot right next to one designed to keep things cold, what do you think the results will be?
In case you can't guess, the air around the fridge of freezer will heat up, especially so in an enclosed kitchen cabinet space forcing the refrigeration unit to run longer and work harder which will place the unit under duress and cost you a fortune in electricity as the unit works longer than it should have to.
From an oven or cooker heat "bleeds" warping door seals and so on as they're made from a plastic, letting air into the unit causing ice build up and making the unit run even harder. This problem gets even worse when it's an oven or cooker where grilling is carried out with the door open.
The same applies to plinth heaters, we've seen them mounted under integrated fridges and freezers, just complete stupidity.
    It really is common sense.
Don't place any refrigeration unit next to or close to a heat source, you'll kill it.

cant link to this for some reason

Well as I have said, not a problem in over 15 months.

The double oven carcass void is also lined with a foil backed thermal adhesive lining,as is the carcass void for the intergrated fridge freezer.

Never had a problam in over 15 months,at this stage.
The kitchen space and dinning space is how I wanted it too.so Im a very happy camper.

Sure you also aint supposed to place a fish tank in a kitchen (due to heat build up),but I have a large custom built sumped fish tank in the kitchen/dinning area,as a LIVE room divider.

I suppose that,as the saying goes....."some rules are made to be broken".....;):D

Ya would never have thought about it but it makes perfect sense. It does sound stupid when you think about it :-) Saying that I put in a kitchen and the fridge is well away from the oven.

I have a Neff for over 2 years now and everything is going well with it so would go with the Neff praise and they do look nice

Hi there, I am looking at a Synergie double oven at the monent to buy. It is 2-3 years old, does anyone know if they are any good, or should i stay away from it, any advice appreciated. Thanks

In two minds about posting here - Mods, please break into a new thread if necessary.

My main oven been temperamental for a while but has now decided that all cooking should be at 300°C, whatever I set it to. It's 25 years old though, so was on borrowed time.

Our recess will need a 67/35 oven.

I'm looking at Bosch, Neff but open to suggestions. I particularly like the fold-away doors in some of the Neffs but it's dependent on availability. This one seems quite good but I'm not entirely sold.

Anyone else bought something similar recently that they're either delighted with or regret?

if you think the present one is worth spending the price of a new oven stat on it that should sort it

If only it were that simple! :) Even the engineer told us it was on its last legs the last few visits.
