Live just north of Fort Mountain ,coverage guide says to point aerial at Mt Leinster.

Get good RTE 1 and 2 and ropey TV 3 and TG 4 via old old roof top aerial pointing to Mount Leinster . Bought Saorview tv during summer and hooked up and couldnt believe it when I got Saorview perfect. There is also a "calving camera" coming in on same cable via junction box (see dodgy attempted attachment). As "summer" passed signal got pixelated from time to time then got too weak . The other day got up and "massaged " cables in box a bit and signal returned for a while .

If 3 and 4 are a bit ropey do I need to change aerial anyway and did I get marginal signal at first because it was in the summer?

Or do I start by changing the box?

Sorry for ramble and many thanks

Sounds like you may have an old VHF aerial so I'd take a look at that first
