Ive a 2006 Diesel Kia Sportage and I just got a new clutch put in last Saturday. yesterday the engine light came on. I checked all fluids and no probs. Anyone any ideas how to get it off or will I have to bring it to a KIA Garage and let them charge me to hook it up to a monitor?

    Thanks

No need to bring it to a Kia dealer. Any decent garage can diagnose the fault for you.

Will they be able to get the light off?

    start pulling out fuses:pac:

But that won't solve the problem.

    TBH it could be anything.

If they can diagnose what's causing the engine light to come on then they can get the light reset, it's not rocket science for any even half competent garage:). Obviously resetting the light without fixing the cause of the problem will cause the light to come on again after I think it is three drive cycles.

Repairing the problem will mean the light can be turned off but yes any decent garage will have proper diagnostic equipment which can help them diagnose and repair the problem.
