With the time for feeding wild birds drawing near is anyone aware of any outlets selling feed at low prices or giving bulk / 2 for 1 offers. I remember last year B&Q were doing a 2 for 1 on 12.5kg seed and any such offers would be handy to know. Thanks.

If you're up in Dublin at all, try Petworld in Sallynoggin. 25Kg of high quality mixed seed for €18.50.

Don't think I will be up there but that's pretty good.

I see that you are in Cork, but if you get up to Limerick at any point there is a pet shop called Paws N Claws which is based in Foxes Bow (just off William street). They sell bags of seed for €15.50. The bag weight is usually 20kg and never lighter, but sometimes they get in 25kg bags and sell for the same price.

Is also a very good shop for peanuts, niger, mixed seed etc in weights ranging from 500g upwards.

For those who want live food for birds they stock mealworm, waxworm etc., and also carry suet in the form of balls or pellets.

Is a great little independent pet shop that usually beats the Petmania and Maxi-zoo chains on price and quality when it comes to bird food.

Thanks for that. I might make a trip there in a week or so.
