    Hi All,

Is there a difference between the refund you get when you ask for a P21 balance check and a PRSI refund. As in does that blance check refund include your PRSI?

If not, how do you claim the PRSI rather than the PAYE?

PAYE is income tax for employees which is dealt with by Revenue. If you request a yearly review and receive a P21, that comes from Revenue. A P21 is a record of your Pay and Tax for a particular year and contains details of any overpayments or underpayments of PAYE as determined by the review.

PRSI is your social insurance contribution and is dealt with by the DSP. Link below will advise re reviews of contributions paid.
