I can't advise on American WWI watches but you might be lucky and pick up a British Army ATP for your budget. The more popular WWW models typically go for 2-3 times what your hoping to pay. More on ATP here - warning, it's a slippery slope.

Yep I've got a skagen and no problems so far , got it off Amazon UK . Looks very similar to Bering which I'm also fan off and have a few of those.

    Hi,

I had quite bad luck with my two Skagens. I had two of them and I was quite unhappy with the quality of the movement they use. I sourced both from eBay. The first died after about 4 months, the second after 6 months. They are nice designs but the movements are quite cheap i guess. I wouldn`t recommend them.

That's because the site has a restriction on access to the Sales Corner until you have a certain number of posts (do not be tempted to "speed post" to the magic 50!).

WWW Record military watch [1945 approx].SOLD

    WWW Record military watch
from about 1945,how cool is that?
i havent had it long,i transformed it by removing heavy scratches from the glass.
it was serviced over a year ago [no receipt]
it winds perfect and is accurate.
its a very good size as well,i can read the dial easy and i have bad eysight.
as you can see it has been redialled to NATO as a lot kept by the army where.
it comes on a issue NATO strap.
this is one to wear not hide away,in this condition it is a practical watch.

    £295 [RMSD+£6]

    now £275 [RMSD+£6]

I can vouch for the seller (Soapy) as he he sold me a Smiths W10. If you send a personal message to the seller (which you can do) he might be prepared to sell it to you.

Hang on - I've just realised that it has sold. Sorry.
