I was thinking about Galaxy mini it would be cheaper...but not sure if it is good enough...it is for testing an app that would use camera and GPS

Do you have any previous experience?

You can buy a cheap phone, fine, but debugging whats the phone being sh1t and whats your code could be a pain.

Nexus devices get the original PURE android from google, and get the first updates. They are designed with devs in mind. Invest in something good if you're serious, if you arent, get an old handset that somebody was gonna throw out and use that.

    Thanks...

It is not for development...the apps are ready and in the market...so it is not for debugging...it is for testing the apps to judge if they would meet the requirements.....so no debugging required....

Nexus phone if you also want to test against the latest Android version.

Maybe also a popular cheap one to test performance on a slower budget phone.
