Income limits for Fuel Allowance

I have a widow's pension (€230 per week) and also a work retirement pension of €100 per week. I also have an adult relative living with me who is currently in receipt of unemployment assistance (€188).

I'm wondering if I would qualify for the fuel allowance or would my weekly retirement pension put me over the income limit? Thanks for any information.

Your adult relative will have to qualify as well in order for you to get fuel allowance.http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/extra_social_welfare_benefits/fuel_allowance.html

Both of the people living in the house must be eligible in order for this payment to be paid.

If both are eligible, whoever applies first will get the payment.

You should apply straight away, because if you don't the person on UA will probably be given the payment (assuming you both qualify).

You have not provided sufficient information to know if you would qualify, so the best approach is to apply. Let SW decide it for you.
