We have a Fiesta that due its yearly NCT again. Unfortunately since the last onethe wheel arch was caught on a pillar which resulted in a bit of damage as there was rust there previously already and it ripped a bit leaving some sharp edges. I maganged to stariaghten the edges as best I could and then tapped over them with heavy duct tape as per photo.

Is my handy work likely to pass for the NCT. A quote for the body work was €250 which just can't justify at the moment. Thanks in advance.

I think the issue with sharp edges is only where they pose a danger to pedestrians etc. Someone else will probably confirm but that to me looks fine.

I passed the NCT with the whole side of the car dented in. Someone drove into the car a day or so before the test. Removed anything sharp and it was fine. I've also passed with broken bumbers, taped up like you have there.
