Reynolds 531c bike for sale

Following on from this thread, I've decided to put my steel bike up for sale.

I have been using it for tipping in and out of college and around the city centre etc., but I'm moving home to my parents house this month and going to start using my 'good' bike for commuting until I finish up in college at the end of this year.

The bike is a British Eagle Kinetica, size 23" reynolds 531c frame with full 7 speed shimano 105 groupset (42/52 170mm crank, not sure about cassette), internally routed brake cables and shimano wheels. All that has been changed since the photo in the above thread was taken is the addition of a selle royal seta saddle that was taken off my 'good' bike, but I still have the original saddle if you'd prefer this.

The bad bits...the decals are peeling off, and when I bought it there was a spoke broken in each wheel, that I had intended to fix but never got round to it. I've since found another broken spoke in the rear wheel and the buckles in each have gotten worse with use. I'm not sure if these can be fixed?

Anyway, I'd like to get what I paid for it, if possible, so looking as close to €250 as possible, but will entertain sensible offers.

    Colm

It'd be nice to see this not end up as a fixie...

Any interest in this? Would it be worth more split? If someone was interested in the 7 speed 105 groupset I could sell the frame to someone that wants to turn it into a fixie...

It has 130mm rear spacing, fits a 10spd wheel like a glove....

I may be interested in a group. I had a frame I intended to build, I'll just need to check if it's suitable as a 7 spd. I'll get back to you if so!

I would certainly be interested in the frame. I sold a British Eagle touristique frame to someone on here 6 months ago. In hindsight I probably should have kept it. I am currently riding a Carlton 531 frame but would like a spare as my one is 30 years old..

Ouch....is a 7 speed 105 groupset is worth €100?....I'll leave it up as a full bike for another week or so, and if nobody bites I'll reconsider your offer :)

    So any takers at €150?
