    If your budget is tight then which is the best combination?
    A cheap motherboard and expensive processor or
    An expensive motherboard with a cheap processor???

    I'm not an expert (I'm sure one of the regulars will give you a far better answer) but it should basically depend in the following:

    What will you use the pc for?
    Do you want to upgrade later?
    Are there motherboard features you must have? (crossfire, usb3, .....)
    Do you want to overclock at some point?
