Is there much difference between the Ford Focus Ghia and the LX?

    I'm in the market for an 05/06 Focus and I've noticed that there's not a huge price difference between the Ghia's and LX's, that I can see, anyway. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what spec/features/interior style the Ghia has that the generally LX doesn't.

    Yes there is. Ghia adds air conditioning, electric windows all round, cruise control, 16" alloy wheels, front and rear arm rest, automatic head lights and wipers, heated windscreen and windscreen washers, auto dipping rear view mirror, leather steering wheel and gear leaver, chrome surround front grill, front foglights and more comfortable seats. It also gets a more powerful and fuel efficent 1.6 litre petrol engine.

    LX model is very basic.

    Oh right, that's a fair bit, thanks. I was having a bit of trouble finding a list of things, online. I think you gave me some advice last week about a particular Ghia, but I rang up and it was gone. Grand, that helps me, anyway, cheers.

    Don't bother with the LX, it's poverty spec.

    The zetec is a happy medium,
    Front fogs,
    Alloys,
    Body coloured bits,
    Air-con,
    Front armrest
    Leather 3-spoke steering wheel and gearknob.
    Also available with the 1.6, the 1.4 is under-powered and economy suffers as a result of trying to pull the car's mass.

    Yeah, I've read that about the 1.4.

    That other Ghia ended up selling for 4 grand, but had 148k on the clock.
