Game of Thrones disappearing from Sky+

Missed this first time around so I'm recording it from the start. However when I went to watch the first episde last week I noticed it was gone so I put it down to me accidentally deleting it. Now when I went to watch the second episode today, which I know for a fact was there, that too is gone.

Is this part of some agreement that Sky have with the owners of the rights in that people can only keep an episode for a finite amount of time before it gets automatically deleted ?

If you have a hd box you could check the deleted section (its to the left of "ALL" in the Planner. Long shot I know, but worth a go.

Don't think Sky have any deal in place to delete as I have series one and two on mine still there.

Nah, just the regular box. It's odd given it has deleted two episodes around the same time each week if it's not a planned deletion.

    I'm not 100% but I think there's a 12mth limit on your planner with Sky+
I know the same thing happened stuff I had saved

Yeah, but this is the re run of which the 4th episode, season one, was on Sky Atlantic tonight.

I've had other full seasons of different shows stored for months without any issues, first time I've had this. As I said, two weeks in a row seems more than a confidence. I even had the latest one marked as keep as I only watched the first minute.

How much space do you have available?
I think it automatically starts deleting things (usually large HD things) when it gets down to the last % or 2.

Around 40% so not a space issue, it's just this program.

Is that right? Didn't know that, weird, on my old sky plus box I still have a series of bones from 2 years ago that's still listed on the planner (but I can't watch as I don't have a card in it, maybe they aren't actually viewable)

Same thing happened me with a recording of friday night lights. Half the first season had deleted itself by the time i got around to watching it. Only have sky for less than a year.

Wondered why it had happened, must be with the shows and how long they can show them.

If I record a movie from Sky Movies, I know that gets automatically deleted after a set period of time. It's not usually for months though, and you can see the deletion date by pressing i on the movie in the recordings section of the planner. It seems unusual for something to be deleted so soon.
