Does anyone know what a clean Renault 16TS is worth these days? Had a look online and there doesn't seem to be any for sale. Was offered it as a trade in and just want to move it on. Thanks in advance.

Money's money........:D They're very scarce by all accounts, 4000 seems to be about the go of it for a clean tidy one.

    What year is it

I'd say 4k is about right if it's in good nick. Frank Fennell was selling a TX in his recent auction. I think the estimate was 4-5k. They rust like it's going out of fashion but they were great cars and they are pretty scarce these days. I'd have one like a shot but couldn't afford one right now.

Make a nice change from Mercs and Porsches anyway (yawwwwn) :)

In one way the TX was the ultimate spec, but probably the ultimate in electrical problems too ??

    'Future classic' then ?

I though Renault were secretly buying up the last remaining 21's to rid them off the face of planet so in a few years they could deny they ever made the bloody things! Renault at their worst in my opinion, hidious bloody cars.

There was a 21 local to here, 89D21, I haven't seen it in a while though I'm told it still exists.

In nearly 30 years of fleet management I can safely say that the Renault 21 was the greatest heap of sh**e that ever drove in the gate. Engines, door locks, wiper motors, heater motors, window mechanisms, wheelbearings, brake discs, you name it and it either fell off, broke off, disintegrated or ceased to function. They had my heart scalded (as my mother used to say) on a daily basis. And in the end you couldn't give the damned things away!!

    Very clean example of R21.
The owner must be a Renault fan...note the R12 beside it and another R12 scrapper at the rear of the yard.
I know of a guy who has 3 x R21's in his shed and yard.

I spotted a mint R25 a few months ago in Austria -also becoming a very rare sight nowadays.

That R21 was for sale a few weeks back in Dublin from it's second owner for a very agreeable sum and was bought by the guy in Louth.

He turned it around quickly and I believe he described it as one of the cleanest examples out there.

I didn't have spare cash at the time so sadly I missed out on it
