Sound and no video would indicate they have the wrong video decoder onboard, MPEG-2 instead of the required MPEG-4. The TVs can be used with a Saorview STB.

If they were bought in RoI in the last 2 or certainly 1 year then take them back and get a replacement, or FREE Saorview box!

What's the make/Model Number and clarify one point,

You mention that you can get radio station, but no TV stations, do you get the audio for the TV stations?

Thanks to all for the replies. One is Beko and the other is a brand I have never seen before and cant remember(friends house). I would have expected to get the tv channels with audio only, thats the strange thing. I guess their mpeg2. My Pioneer KRP500A had irish digital 3 years ago, sound and picture. Then the picture dissapeared and I had audio only. Today the sound and picture are back working. Strange but good.
