    Hi guys
My problem seems be an ongoing problem with android phones.I try to turn my wifi on to connect to my B 260a router,it repeatedly scans, authenicates, trys to obtain an IP address from the router and then simply disconnects.I have searched the android fora and xda developers for solutions without any real success. Some simply blame the phone, others the router settings.I have been advised to change my router settings via the gateway page although these all appear correct??I am very slow to change same as my knowledge is very limited re same. Can anybody help?PM if you wish.
    Ta Selig

Its probably just an encryption problem.

Set up a new access point, using WPA2-PSK. Should connect just fine after that.

Hi Ed E,bit unsure what you mean? Are you talking about creating a new access point via my router log in page?Do you mind sending me a PM as to how I can do this?Bit of a novice,do not wish to mess up my settings!:o

    Yeah, its simple enough.

Go into the routers config page, go to wifi:
    Create a name(SSID) eg: JohnsWifi
    Select WPA2 or WPA2-PSK
    Create a key(password)
    Apply

Then all current wireless devices will disconnect, just connect to the new AP you created enter the pass, and they'll all come back online. Do the same with your phone and you should be on no bother.
