I'm changing putters and I've recently got a loan of a Odyssey White Ice 2 ball and I've putted pretty well with it compared to my current putter.

I've been reading reviews about the Protype version of the 2 ball putter and they all seem good. Just wondering whether anyone has one and their opinion on it?

It's either the White Ice version of it or the Protype version I'll be getting...there is about €100 in the difference.

ive had the white ice 2 ball for the last year. really nice putter. comes with exchangeable weights too which are handy when going from summer to winter greens. dunno about the prototype you mention, got a link?

Yeah found the white ice 2 ball pretty good alright. S'pose I should get what I know works but am interested on what people think of the Protype if people have it. Link below

Looks like the face is firmer anyway. It's a putter I'd like to try myself

right, very different putter to the wi2b, basically looks a traditional 2ball without the face insert. for me the main attraction of the wi2b was the offset blade-type setup coupled with the backweight and face balancing. this prototype wouldnt be my cuppa at all.

I have taken a few putts with the 2-Ball Prototype and had a guy in with me who has had it. To be honest however unless you are really looking for a milled face putter and are dead set on the look of the Prototype, I wouldn't see a whole lot warranting the extra cash to make the difference.

As always with putters however it is really down to whatever you like the look and feel of more so than any claimed technical benefits.

    magnificent marketing there..
Their biggest success was white inserts, now selling without the insert for twice the price..

I always said the problem is the insert in the putters head (the six inch wide one)

my old one keeps missing anyway;)
