Just wondering what signal strength the transmitter is outputting now...and how it differs from Oct. 24th?

It has an ERP of 10kW, according to this document. There are no stated pre-ASO power or directional restrictions in place.

It's much stronger than Analogue used to be. Coverage is better. It's not going to change.

I'd imagine quite a few people in its coverage area would have overloading problems on their systems considering the much increased power. 2kW analog to 10kW digital (equiv. ~50kW analogue). It's strange though why RTE didn't put their mast further up the mountain. Where the mast is situated very little signal goes back into Clare and it could've eliminaed the blackspots near Broadford/Kilbane
