Dead E63, any ideas?

    Out of warranty.

    One minute it was fine, next its dead.

    When you depress the red button, the screen slightly brightens and the middle button at the joystick flashed briefly a few times.

    Battery is fully charged.

    Tried another battery, same.

    Tried to flash it, unsuccessful, phone not detected.

    Found this issue in searches and they all recommend flashing with the latest updated software.

    Any ideas?

    Just in case anyone is in the same boat.

    Do NOT download Phoenix and try flash a downloaded copy of your software back onto your phone.

    I brought my phone to the Nokia Center and they said if I had left it alone, it would have cost €15 to restore the software to my phone, but I fried a chip by trying to fix it myself.

    Oh well, live and learn.
