Seeing as how there isn't one yet....

Getting a distinct smell of "v" from this now.not a bad episode.i hope the quest for tapes doesn't turn into a weekly Zelda thing.

Good episode overall. A bit on the slow side, but that's not always a bad thing.

Disappointed that Simon won't be in it anymore. He was a good character.

He didnt look dead to me :P

Hope it doesn't become all about the tapes. Episode was good none the less,

Well his head was cut off! :P

Well will it become all about the tapes? I reckon a good portion of it will, but I don't think it will be dragged out, lets look at it, only 13 eps, 2 already down, things will hopefully be quick and concise.

A good episode, likewise I hope the tapes don't drag on. One episode would be enough.

I thought it was quite good actually. Didn't particularly find it slow. I agree that it will be annoying if they take each week to find a tape; I could accept that in a regular season of fringe, but not the final one.

tape of the week versus freak (who drains people of something) of the week

Decent episode, kept me entertained. I don't think it was as good as last week's, but kept the feeling of dread going. I really liked the stuff with the loyalist too. Good acting all round.

Very enjoyable episode. The loyalist's interactions were the best part IMO, except for the classic from Walter: "When did I change to cherry?"

[or something like that... you had to be there!]

I loved that when the power came back on, so did the music..and then the music was also playing during the betamax tape.

Oh and i had a huge lol at Peter taking out the tape and blowing on it

i liked it, but i dont like the pathway they look like their carving out, dont think i could handle them looking for VHS tapes for 5 or 6 episodes, and where the hell is everybody else, wheres broyles like, isnt hes ettas boss,

also i found it kinda weird that olivia didnt seem give a **** that etta was torturing yerman, she was just "like whatever" with her,

its good but the clearly reduced budget is kinda obvious,

The search for the tapes definitely has that 80s kids cartoon feel where the characters are on a quest to find all the pieces of some thing or other to save their civilisation. It was such a staple of 80s cartoons that even established series like The Smurfs and ScoobyDoo got in it. Assisted Vincent Price in the latter. Hopefully they do it well on Fringe but it feels kinda hokey.

I also don't understand how they haven't figured out just how compromised Etta is at this point. She walked into the Observer facility where Walter was held, with two bodies, one of whom got up and freed Walter. She'd be the first person the Observers would want to talk to and I don't think her ability to avoid their telepathy would convince them that she was innocent. The Fringe team need a safer base than her apartment.

'Well, that's not a problem for someone who's done acid'.

    :pac:

I don't think it will turn into a tape-per-week thing, it's not really Fringe's style to be so predictable. It looked like they might do that in an earlier season when they had to find all the pieces of the machine, but they didn't go there, and I don't think they will now.

More to the point is what secret is the bullet on a chain hiding in Etta's past, Don't recall anyone being shot before she disappeared when the Observers came ;)

The video tape thing is OK, though I couldn't help but think of Lost and something else reminded me of that show as well. Escapes me now.

    Etta's another Australian actress!

Am I the only one who wouldnt mind being handcuffed to a chair by Etta? :pac: Wouldnt be too fond of the torture that followed though....

With only 13 Episodes I can not see the tapes becoming the main story for the rest of the show.
